Service Description

What is PRP and PRP Facial Injections? PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) harnesses the power of growth factors found in the plasma of your own blood. PRP can be combined with other procedures, such as microneedling to enhance and stimulate collagen production. However, this particular treatment performed by Dr. Farrow actually involves injection of PRP using micro-cannulas (tip is not sharp) beneath the skin surface in multiple areas of your face. After this is done, Dr. Farrow then uses a special microneedling device to inject smaller amounts of PRP more superficially into your facial skin. How Do PRP Injections Work? Blood is drawn from your arm and placed into vials. This collected blood is then spun in a centrifuge, separating the platelets from the red blood cells. When injected, the powerful concentration of growth factors in the PRP portion of the blood promotes rapid healing and has remarkable rejuvenation benefits. Sometimes, more than one treatment spaced 4-6 weeks apart is necessary to achieve desired results. What Areas Can be Treated with PRP? PRP is commonly used for facial rejuvenation. However, PRP is a great compliment to anti-aging procedures like microneedling and can be used on any area of the body. What Do PRP Treatments Feel Like? Treatment with PRP is very tolerable. Like all injection procedures, you may experience some temporary discomfort during the blood draw and subsequent injections. But to make your experience as comfortable as possible we offer topical numbing cream and/or Nitronox which is an analgesic delivery system to ease discomfort and anxiety during treatment. * Prices range from $750 to $2,100.
